Cantina 76: Reviews & Ratings
We went here yesterday after Matador couldn't accommodate us with our party size and small child. This was my first time here and enjoyed the food. I got the Peruvian shrimp taco and the buffalo chicken taco with a side of Mexican street corn. We ordered the tree hombres sampler as the appetizer for our side of the table. For $16, the bowls of salsa, queso, and Guacamole should be a bit bigger. My wife and her friends liked the drinks they ordered and the food came out hot and fresh. My wife couldn't finish her fish taco and surprisingly the fish was really really good. Definitely should have ordered more tacos since they were small but the Peruvian shrimp taco should have a bit toppings. Would come back to try more tacos and nachos.
Delicious food and fast service. Hanging out downtown Greenville and decided to give this place a try, I’m glad I did. The rice bowl was awesome and I’ll definitely be going back for more. Great location and fast friendly service. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
First visit tonight 3/9/2026. Always talked about visiting this place after they opened, and finally did worth My husband, son and daughter in law Server was very friendly and attentive. The food was good and my husband made the comment more than once, " I believe this is now my favorite place downtown. " So we'll definitely be back.
Our server was friendly although service was a little slow. She was doing her best and was very attentive and got everything right! She just seemed to need more help as she was running all over the restaurant. The salsa was good, especially with the Habenero puree to add in. That had a ton of flavor and just the right kind of heat. Just be aware that it isn't a "free chips and salsa" place. It was just $5, though. We had the chicken nachos, which was quite large. They were layered up with queao, which is always a good sign! There was a good amount of tender pulled chicken as well. I feel like these were the best "bang for your buck" of our group. We got an order of Guacamole to go with it. It was very fresh tasting! We also had the pesto chicken taco, buffalo chicken taco, and a chicken enchilada. Fun fact about the enchilada...you can pick a sauce to top it with and queso is an option! Again, can't go wrong with more queso! I also had a honeysuckle margaritas. That was very good! I recommend giving it a try. It was refreshing, not too sweet, and you can taste each fresh ingredient. Overall, it was a fun place and a good choice for this type of cuisine downtown.
Had a great experience- zero complaints. We were seated right away. Service was great. Food was great. Price was decent especially in today’s economy. Nothing fancy so it’s a great choice for a normal dining out experience. Will definitely remember this one for future meals. Update: went again and so far still no complaints. Haven’t been disappointed by anything on the menu. The tacos are delicious.
Arrived in Greenville for lunch and walked from our hotel into the downtown area. We ended up stopping at Cantina 76 and grabbed two seats at the bar. It was decently busy for a Monday lunch rush, but the bartender was super nice, attentive, and quick. The drinks were outstanding. I had a jalapeño cocktail that was amazing, and my wife had a honey-based cocktail that was just as good. We ordered the chips and guac, and honestly, the chips were some of the best I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. We each ordered a taco, and after one bite we both agreed they were some of the most flavorful tacos we’ve ever had dining out. The place had a great vibe—lots of college students and people on their lunch break—which made for a fun, energetic atmosphere. I can only imagine how lively it gets at night. Hands down, this was our favorite Mexican restaurant experience so far. We’ll absolutely be back
Delicious margaritas! We went on a Wednesday evening around 6 and got a table right away. Queso was delicious! We stopped in for drinks and an appetizer before a concert so we didn’t try any other food but everything looked and smelt amazing.
The place is as busy due to events and sports on tv but the staff handled it all very well. Started with some chips and salsa with hot sauce which I loved. Got a few shrimp tacos and some sides to share and they were good. The tacos are not huge but also about $4 so that is fair. Sides of black beans and street corn were great. Cold beer and good service.
